Florida this week. Thanks for the opportunity to serve the Board and I hope all goes well for everyone in the future. Take care, Adam Ehrlich 10/ 112007 Mission statement: The C;ommunitv RedeveloDment Aaencv ( Board of Commissioners oversees redevelopment CRA') projects and recommends infrastructure improvements within the CRA district. The CRA endeavors to implement specific projects to encourage redevelopment within the CRA disbict. Primary duty: To encourage redevelopment This is done by...working with developers and businesses on behalf of the citizens of Ft Walton Beach while reporting to the City Council. This is a board that interfaces directly with the public and business sectors. Each board member is an emissary, representing the City. On three occasions, to my knowledge, a member of this Board has been hostile towards either the City Council & Mayor, the City staff, or to businessmen and developers seeking to establish themselves within the CRA. I have copies of the e- mail traffic reflecting this. I also have a copy of the e- mail I sent to this individual on August 3m of this year. I admonished him for his curt behavior and unprofessionalism as a member of the CRA Board. I encouraged him to use ' honey not vinegar' and to t'one down' his insistent demands of the City Councilmen. His pattern of behavior has not changed and I do not think it reflects the positive public image or loyalty to the City' s efforts in redeveloping the CRA as this council strives to achieve. HiS most recent e- mail dated 7 October, to untold recipients, reveals a continuing insistence that this County and this City are operating with corrupt Commissioners and Councilman who blindly follow the recommendations of a ' hired staff'who are highly influenced by developers who want eminent domain. I therefore motion that CRA Commissioner Bob Rettie be removed from the Ft Walton Beach CRA Board of Commissioners for repeated behavioral patterns which are unbecoming a representative of the City and behavior that does not reflect the direction of this Council. t, Helen Spencer From: James E.
