CITY OF FORT WAL TON BEACH, FLORIDA MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and Council \ \/ / FROM: Helen Spencer, City Cler~ DA TE: October 2, 2007 SUBJECT: Code Enforcement Board Appointment(s} BACKGROUND: Adam Ehrlich, 103 Oregon Drive, Fort Walton Beach, was appointed to the Code Enforcement Board as an alternate on November 14, 2006, and appointed as a member on regular September 11, 2007 until June 10, 2008. Mr. Ehrlich has resigned from the Board effective October 1, 2007, leaving a vacancy for an unexpired term. DISCUSSION: Code Enforcement Board members are appointed for three-year terms and can only serve for two consecutive three- year terms. Alternates are appointed for three-year terms and do not have term limits. At any time Council may submit a nominee for consideration and an application must be filed out prior to recommendation. The following are on file with the City Clerk: INCUMBENT: Ms. Sam Kinkaid Alternate 240 Brooks Street Fort Walton Beach, FL Ms. Kinkaid was appointed as an alternate on April 10, 2007 and advised she would like to be considered as a regular member.) INCUMBENT: Lewis Jennings Alternate 605 Mooney Road Fort Walton Beach, FL Mr. Jennings was appointed as an alternate on September 11, 2007, and advised he would like to be considered as a regular member).
