GCWR (6X4) (RFB FLT 38-17). BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On March 29th, 2017 sealed bids were due for one (1) new 2017 Diesel Truck Tractor, Tandem Axle; 80,000 lb. GCWR (6X4 ) and two (2) bids were received. Purchasing has received a recommendation from Fleet to award the bid to Empire Truck Sales, LLC. Empire Truck Sales, LLC, was the lowest responsive bidder. The total cost to purchase one (1) new Diesel Truck will be $119,634.00. Purchasing has reviewed and approved the recommendation provided by Fleet. Upon Board approval of the award of the bid to the vendor, staff will move forward with the purchase of the diesel truck for the Fleet Operations Division. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to award bid to Empire Truck Sales, LLC. to provide one (1) new 2017 Diesel Truck Tractor, Tandem Axle; 80,000 lb. GCWR (6X4).
