SUBJECT: Verizon Wireless Agreement NWFRA

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: A proposed Verizon Wireless Agreement with the Northwest
Florida Regional Airport to place radio distribution devices (repeaters) within the Airport's
Terminal is being presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.
BACKGROUND: Verizon Wireless requests to install in-building radio distribution devices
(repeaters) and antennas in the Northwest Florida Regional Airport to provide Verizon Wireless
customers with cellular service while inside the airport terminal. Verizon Wireless will be
paying the Airport for this privilege at the rate of $6,000.00 annually. Eglin AFB personnel
approved the installation of Verizon's equipment inside the Airport. Attached you will find
Verizon Wireless’ certificate of insurance and the contract and lease internal coordination sheet.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve this agreement
as described above.
