BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 18, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Rick Owen SUBJECT: East Pass Dredging License DEPARTMENT: County Administrator BCC DISTRICT: 2,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests Board approval and authorize the Chairman to sign license agreement (USAF-AFMC-FTFA-15-2-0194) with Eglin Air Force Base. BACKGROUND: At the July 7, 2015 BCC meeting, the Board authorized the Chairman to sign acknowledgement of a holdover letter for License FTFA-EG-3-10-006 which expired on February 28, 2015. The FTFA License was entered into by Eglin and Okaloosa County for the purpose of maintaining the operability of the Federal navigation channel (East Pass). On July 30, 2015, staff received license agreement USAF-AFMC-FTFA-15-2-0194 which replaces FTFA-EG-3-10-006. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove license agreement USAF-AFMC-FTFA-15-2-0194. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends Board approval and authorize Chairman to sign license agreement USAF-AFMC-FTFA-15-2-0194. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
