BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: March 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Fairchild Road Design Task Order Extension (C06-1343-PW, TO5) DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 1 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Due to the additional contract time required to complete design and permitting for the Fairchild Road Dirt-to-Pave project, the parent contract and task order needs to be extended to allow for final invoicing. BACKGROUND: Task Order 5 with Hatch Mott MacDonald (Contract #C06-1343-PW) was previously extended with an end date of June 30, 2014. Due to additional time required to complete the design, finalize permitting and correct right-of-way conflicts an additional extension with an end date of September 30, 2015 is being requested. This request is for additional time only and does not increase the original Not-To-Exceed amount of $77,822.00. The parent contract is currently still active as Task Order 4 was/is valid until March 31, 2015. Approval of this request amends the contract termination date by providing an additional extension and will reflect the specific task order (TO5) requiring the additional time. Task Order 5 will be completed as written and paid at the rates so established under the parent contract from which the task order was written. No new work will be assigned under the task order and the parent contract will expire when work under the assigned task order is completed.
