SUBJECT: Approval of Letter for NTD User Manager Program

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The County must designate staff to enter data into the National
Transit Database.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County receives a number of grants to fund its transit operations.
Among the requirements to receive such funds is that the County enter transit-related data into
the federal National Transit Database. The attached letter authorizes the County's Transit and
Grants Manager as well as the Grants specialist to enter the necessary data. The letter is in the
format provided by the FTA.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
authorize the Chairman to sign the attached letter and that it be sent to the Federal Transit
Authority.
