this program. However, it is all recoverable either through the carrier or the State.
I have assumed the role of the Special Ops Chief since the retirement of Doug Draxler
from Okaloosa Island Fire Department last June; and as a result have changed the policy
on Out- of-County incidents. The SOU will only respond
to an Out- of County incident if
the requestor goes through the State Warning Point System in Tallahassee and receives a
Mission Number". In so doing, this ensures reimbursement from the State for any
for recalling our personnel to staff Station 6
responses and that would include funding
while the SOU is out of service; resulting in a win/win for all concerned.
The City has reviewed all requirements for insurance coverage and found them to be
satisfactory .
