STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Okaloosa Walton Development Company, the developer, has
requested approval by the Board of County Commissioners for 154' of Hattie Mae Lane roadway
improvements to enter into the County's permanent maintenance system.
BACKGROUND: As part of Hattie's Grove Subdivision, a 154' section of Hattie Mae Lane (an
existing County maintained road) was widened and paved by the developer. On January 6, 2015,
the roadway improvements entered into the 18-month warranty period. The roadway
improvements have been inspected and are now ready and eligible for acceptance as part of the
permanent maintenance system. The Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 206 expires on
December 4, 2016.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the developer's request.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve acceptance of the work performed on Hattie Mae Lane
(County maintained portion) to enter into the County's permanent maintenance system and
release the Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 206 issued by Beach Community Bank in
the amount of three thousand four hundred and eighty-three dollars and thirty cents ($3,483.30).
