SUBJECT: Approve Genesis Task Order 2 - 4th, 5th, & 6th Beach Park Developments

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Chairman to sign Task Order 2 titled 4th, 5th,
& 6th Beach Park Developments, contract C14-2158-TDD Genesis Group, in the amount of
$109,780 for site planning, civil engineering, and architectural services.
BACKGROUND: Beach park access points 4, 5, & 6 are located on the south side of Santa
Rosa Blvd on Okaloosa Island and are approximately 1.4 acres each. The sites are currently
informally used for beach parking and access. The purpose of Genesis Task Order 2 is to
provide professional engineering services associated with the construction of public restrooms,
parking improvements, landscape enhancements, and pedestrian connectivity to the existing dune
crossover boardwalk systems.
This project is included in the FY 2013-14 budget and sufficient funding is available.
The Tourist Development Council voted at its May 29 meeting to recommend approval of
Genesis Task Order 2 titled 4th, 5th, & 6th Beach Park Developments in the amount of
$109,780.
