BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: May 20, 2014
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Dino J. Villani
SUBJECT: Kronos TeleStaff Upgrade from v2.7 to v4.0
DEPARTMENT: Public Safety
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to amend the contract between Okaloosa EMS
and Kronos, Inc., to upgrade the EMS TeleStaff scheduling software from v2.7 to v4.0 at a total
cost of $8,767.50.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Medical
Services (EMS) Division has used the Kronos TeleStaff scheduling system since 2002. Several
updates in the software have been introduced over the years, but have not been purchased or
implemented by EMS. As such, the software is seriously outdated and will not interface with the
newly purchased Kronos Timekeeping System. The update must first be performed before the
timekeeping system design can be completed and fully implemented. The coordination process
has been completed.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the contract amendment with Kronos TeleStaff to update
the TeleStaff software from v2.7 to v4.0.
