BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 1, 2014 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: John Hofstad SUBJECT: Marler Park CEI Task Order Extension DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Due to additional contract time required to complete the Marler Park Boat Trailer Parking & Exhibit Pad project, the parent contract and task order for CEI Services needs to be extended to allow for final invoicing and to close out the project. BACKGROUND: Task Order 67 with HDR Engineering, Inc. (Contract C1346) was previously extended with an end date of March 31, 2014. Due to added weather days and other unanticipated delays, an additional extension with an end date of September 30, 2014 is being requested. This request is for additional time only and does not increase the original Not-To-Exceed amount of $75,834.50. The parent contract will be amended with an additional extension and will reflect the specific task order requiring the additional time. The task order will be completed as written and paid at the rates so established under the parent contract from which the task order was written. No new work will be assigned under the task order and the parent contract will expire when work under the assigned task order is completed. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the task order extension for CEI Services. RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the task order extension for CEI Services.
