and negative flow for a 4250 Area Velocity Flow Meter. b. The software shall include diagnostics to display the signal strength and spectrum strength from an Isco Area Velocity Flow Meter, and the signal strength from an Isco Ultrasonic Flow Meter. The diagnostics shall also display status messages from a 4200 Series Flow Meter for power failed, paper out, pdnterjammed, and printer power. 4. Device Setup a. The software shall set the site name, instrument date and time, and password for each flow meter, and zero the totalizer in the flow meter. The software shall set the variable blanking distance for an Isco Ultrasonic Flow Meter. The software shall set the zero level offset and the set flow rate to zero if no velocity data setting for an Isco Area Velocity Flow Meter, and the minimum depth for velocity measurement for an Ism Area Velocity Flow Meter with a Standard Area Velocity Sensor. b. The software shall display and save to a file the program, two summary reports, and history report from a 4200 Series Flow Meter. 5. Data Storage a. The software shall divide the memory in a 4100 Series Flow Logger into up to 6 memory partitions, and shall divide the memory in a 4200 Series Flow Meter into up to 12 memory partitions. Each partition shall store level, velocity, flow rate, rainfall, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, or sampler data. The interval for storing Teledyne Ism Flowlink Software / Engineering Specifications Page 2 of 11 Released: February 24, 2008 3uawdinb3 6uuonuoW molj LZO- LL 911 : OEDL) LZO- LL 911 jol lerriwgns cost au6paial: ruawgoeny 60 am a data in each partition other than sampler partitions shall be selectable from 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes, and the time span for each partition shall be entered in days and a hours. Partitions for 6700 Series samplers, shall include an entry field for number of samples. Each partition shall operate in either rollover, slate, or triggered slate mode. The size, data storage interval, and data storage mode of each memory partition can vary. The reading type, reading interval, time span, and recording mode for each partition shall be visible even when the computer is not connected to the site. b. In rollover mode, readings shall be stored in memory continuously. When the memory is - full, the oldest reading shall be replaced by the newest reading. c. In slate mode, readings shall be stored until the memory is full, at which time storage shall stop. The memory shall hold these readings until it is restarted. d. In triggered slate mode, the memory shall operate as a rollover partition until a triggering event occurs. Once the triggering event occurs, the memory shall operate as a slate only partition and store readings until it is full. The memory shall hold these readings until it is restarted. The triggering event shall be an AND /OR combination of up to four conditions, where each condition shall be either level, velocity, flow rate, volume, rainfall, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, or time. Each condition other than time shall be either greater than or equal to a set point, less than or equal to a set point, or a rate of change over a time period. A duration operator shall be available to modify the condition. A time condition shall include up to four start and stop time periods, where each time period shall be either daily, weekly, Monday through Friday, or a specific time. A NOT operator shall be used to modify any condition other than time. Parentheses shall be used to group conditions. e. The software shall set up the memory partition in a 675 Logging Rain Gauge to store rainfall data in rollover mode at an interval of 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes. f. Stored data retrieved from 4100 Series Flow Loggers, 4200 Series Flow Meters, 6700 Series Samplers with 700 Series Modules, 675 and 676 Logging Rain Gauges, and 581 Rapid Transfer Devices, shall be stored in an industry standard Microsoft Access database. 6. Flow Conversion a. The software shall set the primary device for the measurement site. Flow conversions shall include weirs, flumes, the Manning formula, equations, area velocity, and data points. Weirs shall include V- notch, rectangular with and without end contractions, Cipolletti and Isco Flow Metering Inserts. Flumes shall include Parshall, Palmer -Bowlus, Leopold- Lagco, HS, H, HL, and trapezoidal. The Manning formula shall include round, U- shaped, rectangular, and trapezoidal channels with the slope and roughness coefficient. Equations shall be a two term polynomial equation. Area velocity shall include round, U- shaped, rectangular, and trapezoidal channels. Data points shall include up to 50 pairs of points to convert level to flow rate or area. The software shall store four sets of data points for 4100 Series Flow Loggers and 4200 Series Flow Meters. b. The software shall retrieve the primary device from 4100 Series Flow Loggers, 4200 Series Flow Meters, and 6700 Series Samplers with 700 Series Flow Modules for use in converting level and velocity data into flow rate. c. Flow conversion attributes shall include an entry field for maximum level. 7. The software shall program the flow meter to enable a connected sampler. The flow a meter shall enable the sampler continuously, disable it continuously, or enable it conditionally. The conditions for enabling a sampler with a 4100 Series Flow Logger or 4200 Series Flow Meter shall be selectable from the same types of conditions that are used to trigger a triggered slate memory partition. b. The software shall program the method by which the flow meter shall pace a connected sampler. A 4100 Series Flow Logger or 4200 Series Flow Meter shall either flow pace or trigger pace a sampler. c. For flow pacing, the software shall program the volumetric interval at which the flow meter shall send a signal to a connected sampler. d. For trigger pacing, the software shall program a triggering condition and two time pacing intervals, one that is used if the triggering condition is true and one that is used if the triggering condition is false. The conditions for trigger pacing shall be selectable from the same types of conditions that are used to trigger a triggered slate memory partition. e. Units —The software shall set the units of measure for level, velocity, flow rate, total flow, rainfall, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and temperature. f Alarms —The software shall set the alarm dialout conditions for a 4100 Series Flow Logger or 4200 Series Flow Meter4. The software shall accept up to 5 telephone numbers, plus a delay between calls and an enable for call back for acknowledgment. The alarm dialout condition shall be selectable from the same types of conditions that are used to trigger a triggered slate memory partition. B.B. 21002100 SERIESSERIES FLOWFLOW MODULESMODULES I.I.
