Because the specification in the bid invitation is for our equipment we meet all of the specifications relating to the equipment and software. We have reviewed the specification, Addendum 1 and 2, and are providing our bid with the following comments and exceptions. Addendum I requires us to provide information on product technical specifications and product information for the proposed flow monitoring equipment and software mentioned in 13. 1. 1 and 13. 1. 2 which is included with our bid. For Item 13. 1. 3 we offer the following: The 2150 AV Flow monitor meets all features as indicated in the specification. We are also attaching with this bid for consideration specifications and product literature on additional 2100 series modules that are optional such as the 2103G, cellular wireless modem which is listed as an additional optional item in the bid sheet. Because ofthe number ofadditional modules available specifications for the 2103G Cellular modules will be provided however product literature for the balance of the modules will be provided w a 2100 series product literature book. Flowlink software 5. 1 is specified under section 8. 2 software and does include all of the capabilities called out in 8. 2. 1 thin 8. 2. 9. As an option, should the city elect to add the Modem capabilities, then an upgrade has been included in the Additive Alternate Items section as a line item. That includes all functionality of Flowlink 5. 1 which was specified. It includes the ability to push data through the cellular wireless modem to a database that runs SQL or Oracle and provides multiple workstation access to the database at the same time for data report generation or data evaluation and provides the city with the ability to have a Web UI function for non -Flowlink users the ability to see the data using a passcode protected web site. Flowlink Pro specifications and product literature are also provided with this bid. Item 13. 1. 4 is provided as our reference list requested in the specifications for customers that are current long term users. Since Teledyne Isco functions as a manufacturer and not a flow service provider, we sell products to customers and have been providing this product for over 10 years. Teledyne Isco has been the only sole manufacturer ofthis flow monitoring system found in the specification for over 5 years. We sell our products through exclusive contracted Manufacturer' s Representatives. C. C. Lynch & Associates has been our exclusive representative since 1973 in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and the Florida panhandle including the city of Fort Walton Beach. A statement from them is included concerning the service and training capability ofC. C. Lynch & Associates as it pertains to this bid. In section 10 of the specification concerning warranty require that we clarify our warranty and I will address each section. 10. 1 Our standard warranty applies on any product manufactured by Teledyne Isco. We provide a 12 month warranty covering parts and labor that provides for repair or replacement due to faulty parts or workmanship at no charge to the customer. Our warranty document is attached with this bid. 10. 2 The flow monitor and all associated accessories, except flow sensors, shall have a 12 month warranty covering parts and labor. Our warranty only covers shipping costs being provided should a failure occur in the first 30 days after shipment. Warranty coverage begins on date of shipment from our factory not date of installation. We may elect to extend date when warranty begins upon receipt of written request to delay warranty when equipment installation is expected to be delayed for a period not to exceed 6 months. 10.3 A 24 month warranty for the Velocity sensor is provided in our bid. We take exception to the portion of this section concerning shipping cost being covered for 24 months from date of purchase. Our standard warranty concerning shipping cost is included. 10. 4 Our flow meters and sensors are manufactured of products that are not normally damaged when in contact with Hydrogen Sulfide therefore we would determine if repair or replacement was warranted during the normal warranty period due to faulty parts or workmanship. Damage due to lack of proper maintenance or not following recommendations as found in the instruction manual do not constitute warranty repair or replacement.
