We felt it best not conduct the majority of our recruiting until after the 1 st of the year. (b) The search process was elongated at the City’s request so the arrival of the new manager would coincide with the prior manager’s departure. (c) The process was scheduled to take 81 days but one of the Council Members had a scheduling conflict. (d) The process was scheduled to take 94 days but elongated as the Council Members had numerous scheduling conflicts. (e) The search process was scheduled to take 82 days. The Commission then involved a Citizens’ Advisory Committee and that added 17 days to the process. Then it was delay additional 14 days due to a scheduling conflict on the part of the elected officials. Finally it took an additional two weeks to reach consensus on a candidate. (f) The process actually took 79 days as the Council reached agreement on a candidate quickly. (g) The process was elongate by 35 days as the Commission wanted to see additional candidates.
