“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what
difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the
significance of the life we lead.” ~ Nelson Mandela
Dear Okaloosa Community Resident,
In July 1966, Bridgeway Center Inc. (BCl) aka Okaloosa Guidance
Clinic, began operations as a non-profit 501 (C) (3) behavioral
healthcare center for Okaloosa County. For nearly 50 years, Bridge-
way Center Inc., has provided a high level of comprehensive
services to Okaloosa County children, adults, and families in need of
behavioral healthcare. Our 10,000 patient visits count on us to help
them maintain and lead healthy and successful lives in the commu-
nity. Many of BCI's patients struggle with multiple financial and
personal obstacles which makes obtaining treatment for themselves
or their family members even more difficult. BCI continues to meet
the needs of our patients and expand treatment options into new
areas for all ages and levels of care.
We ensure good corporate governance is one of the ways we
protect your interests for your “public safety.” This means we take a
stand for all patients to treat them with respect, dignity, compassion,
and fairness, regardless of their total household income. This gives
Okaloosa residents the best chance for their behavioral healthcare
success.
We are also extremely pleased to report that approximately 92 cents
of every dollar BCI spends goes towards the services we provide to
our patients and clients.
We sincerely thank all of you. Thank you for caring about our com-
munity, and for your continued support of BCI.
Sincerely,
s
