The District has distributed stipends for materials and supplies to eligible PreK-12 classroom teachers and other specific instructional
staff pursuant to Florida Statutes 1012.71(1). The funding source is the FEFP Base Student Allocation as directed by the State. The
Statute does not require stipends to be paid to Adult Vocational Teachers, Behavior Analysts, Behavior Interventionists, Mental Health
Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, School Psychologists, Social Workers, and Staffing Specialists.
Based on past practice, the District recommends that eligible employees in the above-referenced positions, which are ineligible pursuant
to F.S. 1012.71(1), receive a stipend equivalent to the amount distributed to eligible Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance
Program positions. The proposed stipends for the Adult Vocational Teachers will be funded from Project 5110 - Workforce Development,
and the proposed stipends for the remaining positions will be funded from Project 5080 - Florida Teacher Supply - General Fund. The
estimated total cost is $39,438.00. These employees shall use the stipend for the purpose of purchasing materials and supplies
consistent with the rules and requirements of the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program.
The amounts to be distributed are as follows:
Employees working 4.50 hours or more per day = $300.00
Employees working 3.75 to 4.59 hours per day = $150.00
