Building and Old Oaks Golf Course Shanty Building (Hurricane Ivan)
SUMMARY
Pursuant to Chapter 2, Section 266, Fort Walton Beach Code of Ordinances, request
authorization to award RFQ- Replace Shingle Roofs at Old Edwin Watts/Meeting
Room Building and Old Oaks Golf Course Shanty Building (Hurricane Ivan) to the
lowest responsive, responsible bidder as outlined in the tabulation sheet. If approved,
funding will come from the Hurricane Ivan account.
Funding is provided in the following account:
1. 001- 1500- 519- 4939 Hurricane Ivan
The shingle roofs at the old Edwin WattslMeeting room and the old Oaks golf course
Shanty building were severely damaged by Hurricane Ivan and need to be replaced.
Recommendation- Recommend council approve the waiver of the fonnal bid process
and utilize the quotes to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder indicated on
the tabulation sheet as Destin Roofing at $ 19, 315. 00
