The new parking lot is bounded by concrete curbs. Lot drainage is accomplished via surface flow to a new retention pond south of the new lot. New sidewalks that tie to the existing surroundings are also included. Destin Middle School Turn Lane Paving Project – This project consists of the construction of two (2) new turn lanes off existing roadways at the school. There will be a new right turn lane added to Legendary Marina Drive that will allow for a right turn into the school drop-off roadway without impeding traffic flow on Legendary Marina Drive. A new right turn lane will also be added to the parent drop-off roadway where it intersects with Legendary Marina Drive when exiting the school. This will allow both left and right hand turns at this location, allowing for better traffic flow.
