BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 18, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Task Order 174 “FY16 SMP Groups Packages Pass-Through Costs” DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Chairman to sign Task Order 174 “FY16 SMP Groups Packages Pass-Through Costs”, contract C12-2007-TDC Peter A Mayer Advertising, in the amount of $90,432. BACKGROUND: The Board approved the FY 2015-2016 Strategic Marketing Plan on July 7, 2015, which included a line item for Media Campaign (Groups, Meetings/Conventions) in the amount of $210,235. Task Order 174 authorizes groups-targeted marketing packages to run in various outlets October 2015 through September 2016. The FY 2016 budget will be formally adopted in September. Task order approval is being requested at this time so the agency can have the media in place by October. OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve Peter Mayer 174 “FY16 SMP Groups Packages Pass- Through Costs” in the amount of $90,432, and authorize Chairman to sign.
