We may be able to get this on the agenda for the 8/18 BCC meeting (I do not have to document in hand yet); if not it will be executed by the Board on 9/01 and returned to Eglin. -We will be combining the irrigation and landscaping plans into one plan set and letting as once contract. This will avoid issues with the coordination between the County forces installing the irrigation and the landscaping Contractor; it will also allow all work by the Contractor to be covered under the required one-year warranty period. -The revised/combined plans will be submitted for final approval before the RFB is advertised in Sept. -The Dig (Eglin) and Boring (FDOT) permits will be finalized once the bid opening takes place and a construction schedule has identified. We have established the limits of the easement and performed the survey work. We have been in a transition with the previous County Surveyor retiring and have just brought a new County Surveyor on board. We are working to prepare the legal description and easement document for review by Eglin and the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners. As soon as we have the easement finalized and accepted by both Eglin and the BCC, we can finish obtaining the permits req'd to begin work. Irrigation is scheduled to be installed late Feb. to early March with the landscaping installation to follow right after. The Gateway Sign itself is not part of the JPA and is not subject to the same timeframe/end date. I have talked with FDOT Milton Ops (Brian Pettis) and Nick Chubb on several occasions to facilitate coordination for the sign.
