BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: December 20, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Stefan Vaughn SUBJECT: No Shave November Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society DEPARTMENT: Corrections BCC DISTRICT: During November 2016, the men and women of the Okaloosa County Department of Corrections participated in No Shave November, a volunteer project designed to help raise funds and awareness for the local office of the American Cancer Society. This department-wide initiative involved both certified and non-certified staff members, and resulted in $700.00 in employee donations. Chief Vaughn will present this donation to a representative of the American Cancer Society, along with a letter requesting these funds be used solely in support of American Cancer Society efforts and patient needs here in Okaloosa County, Florida. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
