FUND AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWC FOUNDATION AND THE CITY
Carla Reinlie, OWC Foundation, stated the rules are
being advertised and will go before the State Board after
January 31st. She explained the $ 2,000 pledge does not have to be a
recurring contribution to the foundation;
the amount can be what the City decides and if the
legislation passes then the amount given is doubled, but in
order for the funds to be eligible they have to be in the foundation
by January 31st.
The City Manager mentioned they cannot pledge funds for future fiscal
years without Council approval
through the budgetary process, which is why in the City' s case it would have to be an annual appropriation.
Mr. Tucker moved to authorize the Mayor to execute a fund
agreement between Okaloosa Walton
College Foundation, Inc. and the City of Fort Walton Beach to pledge an irrevocable $ 2, 000 to the
OWC Foundation. Mr. Patterson seconded motion and it carried
