STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request to schedule a public hearing on May 21, 2013 to gather
input regarding increasing the monthly assessment rate for the Sylvania Heights Municipal
Services Benefit Unit (MSBU).
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: The Sylvania Heights MSBU committee met at a
publicly advertised meeting on April 10, 2013. The committee authorized a $1 increase in their
monthly assessment. The requested public hearing will be to provide the community an
additional opportunity to comment on the change.
The public notice advertisement for the April 10, 2013 MSBU Committee meeting and the
minutes of that meeting are attached.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve public hearing to convene on or after 9:00 am, May 21,
2013, to receive comments regarding increasing the Sylvania Heights MSBU assessment.
