SUBJECT: Okaloosa County Maintained Road Maps
DEPARTMENT: Public Works

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The roads that are shown on the attached maps have been
maintained for many years by Okaloosa County. In order for the county to make legal claim to
roads that aren't deeded, maps such as these must be accepted by the Board of County
Commissioners and recorded in the records of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Okaloosa County
in accordance with Florida Statute 95.361; Roads presumed to be dedicated.
BACKGROUND: Roads depicted on the attached maps are a collection of deeded, platted and
use and maintenance roadways. All roadways depicted herein are a part of the routine
maintenance program executed by Public Works. In order to comply with Florida Statute
95.361; Road presumed to be dedicated, the maps must be signed by the Chairman of the Board
and the Clerk of the Circuit Court and filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Okaloosa County.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the certification and filing of the attached maps to comply with
Florida Statute 95.361; Roads presumed to be dedicated.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the certification and filing of the attached maps to comply
with Florida Statute 95.361; Roads presumed to be dedicated.
