RESOLUTION 07- 17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND AN APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT; PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City of Fort Walton Beach is eligible to apply for funds under the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development' s ( HUD) Community Devleopment Block Grant (CDBG) program; and WHEREAS, HUD requires that the City execute a Grant Agreement following approval of the City' s application. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section I. That the City Manager is authorized to submit the Annual Action Plan and an application for CDBG funds in the manner and format prescribed by HUD, in the amount of $148, 027. 00 for Program Year 2007 ( Fiscal Year 2007/2008). Section II. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the subsequent Grant Agreement when presented by HUD. Section III. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
