SUBJECT: Request a Public Hearing for Forest Cove MSBU Additional Street Light
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
BCC DISTRICT: Four
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Public Works requests to schedule a Public Hearing on January 22,
2013 for opportunity to hear public comments regarding installation of an additional street light
within the Forest Cove Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU).
BACKGROUND: A resident within the Forest Cove MSBU has requested an additional street
light be installed at the intersection of Church Street and Forest Cove. A petition has been
presented to the residents within the Forest Cove MSBU. According to our records, there are
currently 43 members contributing to the MSBU. Policy requires that 51% of the members sign
the petition in agreement of the additional light for installation. At this time, 23 members have
signed in support of the additional light.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the request for a Public Hearing on January 22, 2013.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the request for a Public Hearing on January 22, 2013.
