Subject: Special Meeting - Cancelled
Good Afternoon All:
As you know the WMI land purchase item was withdrawn from the Special Meeting agenda for Dec 20th; as a result we
were difficulty obtaining a quorum for the meeting. Although I believe the SBA Investment issue is of great
having great
importance, I' ve asked the City Clerk to cancel both special meetings on the 20th and 27th of December. However, please
note, there may be a need special meeting to discuss the SBA issue before your next regularly scheduled meeting on
January 8th.
Thank you and please contact me if you have questions.

Subject: Re: Waste Management Land Sale
Why do we need a special meeting on the 20th now?
The original reason the meeting was called was to address the sale of property to the WMI? It has been
cancelled.
I don't recall council calling a special meeting for any other purpose.
I see no pressing need why a special meeting is necessary at this time of the year.
We have a meeting scheduled for Jan 8.
I see no reason to burden the city staff and council with an unscheduled meeting 5 days before Christmas.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Good Morning All:
We will remove the WMlland sale ordinance from tomorrow' s special meeting agenda. We have spoken with
WMI and they concur that the City does not have the necessary information to proceed forward to Council on this
matter, at this time. WMI will talk with their corporate headquarters to see if they can get their "purchase dollars"
earmarked in the FY 08 fiscal year. We are still proceeding onward, albeit at a slower pace. Tomorrow night, I
will briefly update you on the WMI issue, but no action will be required of Council. However, we will still plan to
meet to discuss the SBA Investment Issue.
Finally, we will cancel the special meeting scheduled for December 27th.
Thank you all for your patience and your willingness to attend special meetings during this time of year.

Is there an emergency that we have to discuss this issue at this time? I believe some members will
be absent. Didn' t you sent this item out bye- mail? I will probably not attend. Dr. Pullen
