Mr. Reeves wanted it written into the record that when looking for a place for his new business, which is at Uptown Corners, he did not contact or speak with Jay Odorn regarding the lease and he did not contact the company to discuss that location until July 12. The Mayor also addressed Dr. Pullen' s letter stating his feeling that it was filled with innuendos and insinuations, and if someone feels that Council is being influenced by special interests then point it out. The Mayor also advised he had lunch with the Young Professionals and their planned involvement with the City; that he attended a Habitat for Humanity ribbon cutting; and that Staff has had input on " green communities" and if Council was interested in pursuing that; that he signed the defeasing papers for the fairgrounds bonds and the City is debt free in that regard; and expressed the touching funeral ceremony for Sgt. Bankston. The City Manager expressed the City' s condolences to the family of Sgt Bankston and thanked Chief Litschauer for developing the Honor Guard. CITY MANAGER ANNOUNCEMENTS The City Manager announced several holiday events on December 1: the annual tree lighting ceremony; the rummage sale at the Sr. Center; and the holiday bazaar at Docie Bass; and the annual Christmas Parade on December 3 at 6: 30 pm. She also advised the Great Neighborhood Partnership Meeting will be held December 13 at the Sr. Center. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12: 15 a. m. Pursuant to Florida Statute Title XVIII, Chapter 274. 07, the City is required to record in the Council minutes the disposal of fixed assets identified as meeting the above mentioned criteria. DISCUSSION Attached is a list of items that have been identified in accordance ' iVith Florida Statute for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2007. These items were disposed of, traded in, or sold at auction. RECOMMENDATION Staff respectfully requests authorization, pursuant to Florida Statute Title XVIII, Chapter 274. 07, to record in the Council minutes, the removal of fixed assets per the attached list from the City' s accounting records.
