STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Approval to Award the bid for the Maintenance of
the County Warning Point Equipment. (EMS 52-14)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On May 28, 2014, the bids were opened for the Maintenance
of the County Warning Point Communication Equipment and only one bid was received. The
intent of this bid is to enter into contract with a qualified vendor to provide preventative and
emergency service on the Okaloosa County Warning Point Equipment at various sites throughout
the County. This contract will run from October 1, 2014 for 3 years with an option of three
additional one year renewals.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny request to award the bid to Baker’s Communication for the
Maintenance of the County Warning Point Communication Equipment.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the bid award to Baker’s
Communication for the Maintenance of the County Warning Point Communication Equipment.
