BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 6, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Temporary Construction Easement along South Avenue DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Public Works is in the process of replacing a drainage system along South Ave and its connecting pipe system to Monahan Drive. In order to accommodate replacement of this drainage system, construction crews will need to access portions of the drainage system through private property. Access may be provided by the acceptance and recording of a Temporary Construction Easement offered by the adjacent property owner. BACKGROUND: Staff acquired a Temporary Construction Easement (TCE) offered by the adjacent property owner, LNK Development, Inc., Mr. Larry Kline, president and owner of Lot 22, Block 2, Second Addition to Garnier Beach, as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 46 of the official records of Okaloosa County, Florida. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the acceptance and recording of the Temporary Construction Easement to accommodate the reconstruction of the drainage system between South Avenue and Monahan Drive, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
