STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval of proclamation honoring Boys and Girls
Club week and consideration of a Commissioner to present at the open house event in Destin.
BACKGROUND: The National Boys & Girls Clubs week is March 23-29, and the Destin Club
is hosting an open house tour. They are inviting the community to come in and take a look at all
the great programs offered. The sponsor of the event requests a proclamation establishing “Boys
& Girls Club” week in Okaloosa County.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Board approve proclamation and recommend
Commissioner to present at the open house in Destin.
