STATEMENT OF ISSUE: (FM) Requests BCC approval of a renewal of the contract with ESSI
for Generator Maintenance contract with an effective start date of 10/01/2014.
BACKGROUND: The steps necessary to exercise the available extensions remaining on the
ESSI Generator Maintenance contract were not completed prior to the September 30, 2014
expiration of the current term. This contract provides routine maintenance and necessary repair
for county emergency back-up power generators permanently installed on county buildings.
Internal communication and coordination efforts are improving so that a request to the Board for
an after-the-fact renewal of the contract for this service will not be necessary.
RECOMMENDATIONS: (FM) Requests BCC approval of a renewal of the contract with ESSI
for Generator Maintenance contract with an effective start date of 10/01/2014.
