BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 7, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Approve Vehicle Transit Vehicle Lease with Maruti Fleet and Management LLC DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Approval and execution of vehicle lease between Okaloosa County and Maruti Fleet and Management, LLC. BACKGROUND: The contract between Okaloosa County and Maruti Fleet and Management LLC requires that Maurti lease the County-owned vehicles used in the County's public transit system for a nominal $1 per vehicle for year. This is a housekeeping item that was identified during the Florida Department of Transportation Triennial Review of the County's public transit system. OPTIONS: The Board may approve or not approve the vehicle lease. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board of county Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the approved vehicle lease. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
