STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Board approval to purchase one (1) 2014 Doosan
DL300 Front End Loader (4 Cubic Yard) (RFB #33-14) for Public Works.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Public Works Department has requested the purchase of
a Front End Loader (4 cy). Bids were opened on March 12, 2014 and eight (8) bids were
received. Coastal Machinery Company (Pensacola, FL) submitted the lowest responsive bid
meeting specifications and documentation requirements for a total cost of $182,571.30. Funding
is available in the Public Works FY14 budget account #3202-564402.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny purchase of One (1) 2014 Doosan DL300 Front End Loader (4 cy)
for total cost of $182,571.30 (RFB #33-14).
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving purchase of One (1) 2014 Doosan
DL300 Front End Loader (4 cy) for total cost of $182,571.30 (RFB #33-14).
