STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of contract with Unifirst Corporation to provide
uniforms and other supplies to primarily the Water & Sewer Department and Emerald Coast
Conference Center.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On September 1, 2015 the Board approved for staff to
negotiate a contract with Unifirst Corporation to provide uniforms and other supplies to
primarily the Water & Sewer Department and Emerald Coast Conference Center. However, any
County department may utilize this contract as needed. This contract will provide uniform
rental, repair and laundering. It will also supply other supplies such as floor mats, mops and
towels. The term of the contract is two (2) years with one (1) one year renewal. Staff has
prepared the contract and is requesting authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the contract with Unifirst Corporation to provide uniforms and other
supplies and authorize the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the contract with Unifirst Corporation
to provide uniforms and other supplies and authorize the Chairman to sign the document
