A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, ACCEPTING FUNDING THROUGH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
GRANT DOCUMENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
OVERSEE THE PROJECT; AUTHORIZING A FUTURE BUDGET
AMENDMENT IF NECESSARY; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
The Florida Department of Health through the Emergency Medical Services
Matching Grant provides funding for emergency medical services equipment. The City
is eligible to participate in this competitive grant program and has applied and been
awarded up to $ 12, 823. 50 to upgrade four Lifepak 12 cardiac monitors, with a City
match of $ 4,274. 50 for a total project amount of $17, 098. 00. The City Council finds that

Therefore, the City Council authorizes:
a.>>1e City Manager to execute the grant documents;
b. the City Manager to implement, supervise, and manage the grant program
pursuant to the grant procedures and requirements, City purchasing policies and
procedures, and Florida law; and
c. a future budget amendment, if necessary.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by the City Council.
