SUBJECT: Neighborhood Stabilization Program Modification No. 10
DEPARTMENT: Growth Management

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Growth Management Department requests that the Board approve the
attached Modification NO. 10 to the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Agreement, Contract
Number 10DB-4X-01-56-01-F18, between the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity
(DEO) and Okaloosa County BCC which will extend the contract end date to Sept 30, 2015. DEO has
requested an updated Activity Work plan accompany the request.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County was allocated $2,255,252 for the regular State NSP and an
additional $1,003,183 for the NSP supplemental allocation for rental housing. On November 20, 2012
DEO made an additional award to Okaloosa County in the amount of $715,111.77, which included an
award amount of $301,917.73 and $413,194.04 of program income. The Agreement was executed
between Okaloosa County BCC and Florida DEO on November 24, 2009.
No county matching funds are required.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve and
authorize the Chairman to sign Modification No. 10 and the letter transmitting the Modification to FDEO.
