A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE FOR THE
CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 2006 AND ENDING ON
SEPTEMBER 30, 2007, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, does hereby adopt
its final millage rate of 4.6458 mills to be levied upon all real and tangible personal property
located within the boundaries of the above named taxing authority.
Section 2. The final levy of 4.6458 mills is 14.02% greater than the "rollback" rate of
4.0746 mills. The 14.02% percentage increase represents the percentage increase in property
taxes.
Section 3. This final millage rate of 4.6458 mills is to fund General Fund expenditures for
the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2006 and ending September 30, 2007.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by the Council and
signature by the Mayor.
