Mr. Trifilio presented this item. Discussion ensued regarding the application procedure, sand trap
purpose, project cost.
q. Coastal Management Update (Erika Zambello)
Ms. Zambello presented the Coastal Management Update. Commissioner Windes requested a Fishing
Line Recycle Station be installed at Destin Fishing Fleet Marina. Council member Craul stated that
we could be seeing increased tourism due to the recent bacteria concerns in Galveston, TX.

x. ECCC Capital Committee (Ed Schroeder)
Mr. Schroeder presented this item. Discussion ensued regarding membership composition, number of
members, duration. These areas of concern and many others would be established once the members are
appointed.
To recommend establishing an Emerald Coast Convention Center Capital
Motion: Project Advisory Committee (CPAC) comprised of 12 voting members,
with the committee to determine the number of at-large members.

y. Dog Friendly Beaches (Ed Schroeder)
Mr. Schroeder provided an overview of preliminary research of local ordinances and proposed further
research be conducted.
V. Public Comment (3 minutes each)
Mr. Guy Tadlock, a resident of Holiday Isle, mentioned the area used to have many snowbirds who like to
go birding and suggested marketing in that regard. He further noted an increase in international travelers
and appreciates the forward thinking of the sand trap study.
