TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: December 10, 2015 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Ed Schroeder, Tourist Development Department Director SUBJECT: Aramark Contract Renewal STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for a one-year contract extension to Aramark contract C14- 2185-TDD for the provision of food and beverage/catering services at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. BACKGROUND: The Aramark contract provides for a total of three (3) one-year extensions beyond the initial term expiration of June 2, 2015. The first extension was for an additional seven (7) months through January 2, 2016 to align contract renewal periods with the calendar year to minimize the impact on event operations at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. The new local Aramark General Manager and staff are working well with convention center staff and clients. Staff recommends executing a one (1) year contract extension through January 2, 2017. The draft contract attached has been reviewed and approved by legal, but the County contract coordination process has not yet been completed. Pursuant to section E.200 of the TDD Manual, the Council shall review and provide a recommendation for all proposed contracts requiring Board approval.
