A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A TRANSFER OF TITLE OF A PORTION OF PUBLIC
RIGHT- OF- WAY KNOWN AS PARK VIEW ROAD NW AND BUENA VISTA LANE NW
FROM OKALOOSA COUNTY; ANNEXING THE RIGHT-OF-WAYS INTO THE CITY
LIMITS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Okaloosa County (" County") owns undeveloped Rights-of-Way known as
Park View Road NW and Buena Vista Lane NW; and
WHEREAS, the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners ( BOCC) deeded the
Rights-of-Way to the City by Quit Claim Deed on August 3, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City now finds it in its best interest to consent to and accept the County
deed transferring ownership of the undeveloped portions of Park View Road NW and Buena
Vista Lane NW from the County to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. Purpose & Intent.
The City hereby consents to the transfer from the County of portions of the roadways
known as Park View Road NW and Buena Vista Lane NW and more particularly described as
follows:
The East 267 feet of the North 50 feet of the North 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the Northwest '/
of the Northwest '/ of the Southeast 1/4 ( N 50 feet of N 1/2 of W '/2 of NW 1/4 of NW '/ of
SE '/) of Section 35, Township 1 South, Range 24 West, Okaloosa County, Florida.
And
The East 267 feet of the South 33 feet of the West 1/2 of the Northwest '/ of the Northwest
of the Southeast '/ ( S 33 feet of W 1/2 of NW '/ of NW '/ of SE '/) of Section 35,
Township 1 South, Range 24 West, Okaloosa County, Florida.
Section 2. Transfer of Title to Public Rights-of-Way
The City agrees to accept ownership, of the portions of Park View Road NW and Buena
Vista Lane NW right-of-way identified in the Okaloosa County Resolution and deed.
With acceptance of the portions of right-of-way from Okaloosa County, those sections of
Park View Road NW and Buena Vista Lane NW shall be annexed into the City limits of the City
of Fort Walton Beach.
Section 3. Effective Date.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by the City Council and
signature of the Mayor.
