previous meeting when she announced it was being read for second reading. She explained since there is a
substantial change to one provision, the process must begin over so this is being read for fITst reading, with second
reading at the June 8 meeting.
The Mayor opened the public hearing.
Darrell Gobel, 2l8B Miracle Strip Parkway, Brooks Landing, advised it was his opinion that the Municipal Planning
Board should not be afforded additional powers; that the process has worked fme in the past and sees no reason to
change it.
John Kitchin, 2l8P Miracle Strip Parkway, Brooks Landing, expressed the feeling that Planning Board members
who have fmancial interest in any of the properties under their discretion for a new DRI should recuse themselves
from voting.
As there was no one else who wished to speak, the public hearing was closed.
Dr. Pullen moved to adopt Ord. 1583 on first reading. Mr. Tucker seconded motion.
The City Attorney explained that if a member of the Planning Board does have a direct interest in any question
