BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: December 1, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Urban Corridor Grant revised Joint Participation Agreement (ARN14) DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Department of Growth Management requests that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the revised Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) FY 2016 for Urban Corridor Grant Funding and to sign the Authorizing Resolution. BACKGROUND: The Florida Department of Transportation has awarded Okaloosa County $210,000 in the attached revised JPA under current Contract ARN14. Funds will be used to reimburse the County's transit operator for operating expenses for providing public transit along the Highway 98 Corridor. No local match is required. Corridor expenditures that exceeds the Grant amount awarded will be reimbursed by FTA 5307, Transit Block grant funds minus any farebox collected and/or Program Income. RECOMMENDATION: The Department of Growth Management recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the attached revised JPA for FY 2016 Urban Corridor Funding and to sign the Authorizing Resolution and all future grant documents during the term of the grant.
