SUBJECT: PARADISE CLEANING SERVICES - NEW ODDFELLOW LEASE
DEPARTMENT: Water and Sewer

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests BCC Approval of a new lease on Unit 1310-E
Oddfellow Road. The new lease would be between Okaloosa County Water & Sewer and
Paradise Cleaning Services, Brandi Bingham. This unit is located in a building owned by
Okaloosa County Water & Sewer on Oddfellow Road. The rear of the building abuts the west
side of the back parking lot of the Water & Sewer administration building.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Water & Sewer purchased the building on the east side of
Oddfellow Road in 2006, and currently has four tenants whose lease payments total $22,566.00
annually. We have made a notice to the public generally that space is available. This is a lease
with a new tenant for the standard one year term with the option to extend for two additional
years. A copy of the lease is attached. The annual rent for this lease will be $5,088.00, payable
as 12-$424.00 monthly payments.
OPTIONS: Approve or deny.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval by the BCC to authorize the Chairman
to execute the Lease Agreement with Paradise Cleaning Services, Brandi Bingham.
