Dear Sirs,
Enclosed please find a summary sheet and copies of paid items reflecting the expenses for the
OCSO Teen Driver Challenge Program. These expenses occurred from 10/01/13 through
12/31/13, but are not inclusive of all charges pertaining to the program.
Please reimburse the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $15,220.29 to the
attention of Natalie Wells, Finance Section, Shalimar Administration Office.
• All salary related expenses are for Deputy Sheriff Instructors who teach the students
during the classroom and practical exercises.
• Other Vehicle Repair expenses are for tire air gauges. Students are taught how to
properly check the operational condition of a vehicle.
• Other Costs are related to Lunch supplies (Drinks, Subway Sandwiches, and Chips). The
teens do not leave the driving range for the full day during the practical exercise portion
of the class. This is for safety reasons, as well providing the instructors the ability to
provide continuous training throughout the day.
• Printing expenses are related to the cost of a 3’ by 5’ Teen Driver Challenge Banner.
The above described expenditures are exclusive to any administrative costs borne by the
agency to provide this enhanced teen driver education program to student citizens of Okaloosa
County. Additionally, all expenses are consistent with the program’s approved budget.
Respectfully Submitted,
Major J.D. Peacock, Chief Administrator
