Subject: OCSO Agenda Item
I will include this as an agenda item for the Retreat as requested. Please be advised that I am also following
Council direction in this matter. On June 14, 20111 received the following direction from the City Council:
Mr. Nabors moved to prioritize the request of the cities and the airport then respond to the sheriffs request.
Ms. gossom seconded motion and it carried by a vote of 5 to 2 with Griggs, gossom, Goodwin, Nabors, and
Rynearson in favor and Reeves and Rigdon opposed." Since the Airport has very recently informed me that the
only law enforcement services they will request from the City will be in the form of training or the occasional
use of off d- uty officers, 1 am obligated, per the motion, to provide the information City staff has prepared. Um
Inasmuch as I wanted the City Council to have and consider the information before transmitting it to the OCSO,
I will wait until December 22 for it to be sent.

Bob,
It troubles me to share these numbers with the OCSO. As a businessman, I can tell you with 100% certainty
that if I have my competitors numbers, I can come up with a better proposal or better price every time. We as a
council need to think this through. I recommend we put it on the agenda for discussion at the city retreat on the
7th.
Thank you.
