OKALOOSA SHERIFF’S OFFICE ADDITION 100% GMP PROPOSAL SEPTEMBER 16, 2014 State of FL Certified General Contractor #CG C008942 State of FL Certified General Contractor #CG CO57094 CONSTRUCTION , State of AL Certified General Contractor #12776 INC. State of GA Certified General Contractor #GCCO002537 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / GENERAL CONTRACTOR State of MS Certified General Contractor #08714-MC Trusted Performance ... Lasting Value Sheriff's Office Addition 100% G.M.P. Proposal Summary: Attached is the breakdown information for the G.M.P. proposal for the subject project. Bids were received at 2:00 P.M. on August 20, 2014 based on the 100% construction documents dated July 15, 2014. We have attached the bid breakdown, subcontractor recommendations, revised schedule, and assumptions with clarifications. The original budget estimate of $1,269,512 was impacted by a major revision to the foundation design. This redesign increased dewatering, reinforcing, concrete and compaction requirements. We had no information concerning the site utilities at the time of the initial budget estimate, and we stated that the estimate was for buildings only. The cost impacts for these two additions to scope equal over $200,000. Please note that the schematic estimate developed in April 2014 appears to be at the beginning of construction resurgence in this local area. We are seeing dramatic increases of 3 to 5% in many of the work areas (primarily concrete, masonry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) due to increased material costs and labor shortages of skilled workers. Our 50% estimate captured these additional costs as well as minor scope increases in plumbing, HVAC, and access control. The 50% estimate total was $1,573,715. As noted in the 50% budget estimate review, some of the documents were not as complete as others, and our assumptions, while conservative, did not anticipate all of the scope as drawn on 100% documents. These differences are minor and do not appreciably affect the G.M.P. We have included governmental requirement fees that are cost of doing work (i.e. building permit and fire department fee), but not the water, sewer, development fees, and storm water department fees, as they have not been furnished to us. We have included a revised schedule that incorporates the design time lost during the redesign of foundation and site utilities. LY 19 David Street - Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547 ~ aN P.O. We have developed an aggressive schedule and will work diligently to complete the project ahead of schedule allow the Sheriff to take occupancy as soon as possible. Our total G.M.P. cost is $1,474,064 as noted on page 4 of our proposal. We look forward to completing this project ahead of schedule and under budget. bb cth- Leven D.
