BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 3, 2017 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - Bluewater Bay Buns on the Run DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Friends of Bluewater Bay is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for the Bluewater Bay MSBU. BACKGROUND: The event will be held January 14, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The course will run along Bluewater Bay roadways. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Bluewater Bay MSBU. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Posse will be on hand to take care of traffic control needs. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove the request for a Public Event Permit from Friends of Bluewater Bay. RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the Bluewater Bay Buns on the Run 5k Run / Walk as submitted by Friends of Bluewater Bay. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
