Scallan, Chief Financial Officer Meeting : Apr 4, 2013 - Workshop Meeting Type : Report Public Content The budget calendar provides the proposed dates for various steps in the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget development process. The calendar includes the following: • Department Operational Budgets and Department Project Budgets, including State Categorical, Federal Entitlement, and Local Projects • School Budgets • Capital Outlay Budget • Comprehensive Budget • Florida Statutes and/or the TRIM (Truth in Millage) Guidelines The calendar proposes two special Board meetings: • July 24, 2013 - Superintendent requests permission to advertise Preliminary and Tentative Budget and Millage Rate • July 29, 2013 - Public hearing and adoption of the Preliminary and Tentative budget and the Millage Rate. The calendar also proposes that the final public hearing and adoption of the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget and Millage Rate take place during the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on September 9, 2013.
